A man whom officers shocked with a stun gun while he fought them in a Northwestside restaurant Friday night died a short time later, police said.
Henry O. Bryant, 35, 3000 block of Cluster Pine Drive, died after the incident around 10:30 p.m. Friday at O'Charley's restaurant, 5130 W. 38th St.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officers had used a Taser electric device and CS gas, a chemical similar to tear gas, to subdue Bryant, said IMPD spokesman Sgt. Paul Thompson.

A preliminary autopsy report released Saturday did not state the cause of death.
